The Heist's Success and Consequences
In the final part of Six of Crows, Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Wylan, Nina, and Matthias successfully kidnap Auriel, the Grisha who has been experimented on with jurda parem. However, this victory comes at a cost. Jesper's sharpshooter secret is revealed, putting him in danger. Inej is nearly killed, and Wylan's father dies, leaving him to grapple with his complicated feelings towards him.
The Aftermath in Ketterdam
Upon returning to Ketterdam, the Crows must deal with the aftermath of their heist. Kaz is haunted by his past and the loss of his brother, Jordie. Inej struggles with her injuries and the trauma she experienced. Jesper grapples with his newfound identity and the danger it poses to him and his friends. Wylan must come to terms with his father's death and his own identity as a Grisha.
Nina's Sacrifice
In the final moments of the book, Nina chooses to stay behind in Fjerda to save Matthias from the soldiers who want him for treason. This decision is a testament to her love and loyalty to her friends, as well as her desire to protect the Grisha community. It also sets the stage for the sequel, Crooked Kingdom, where the Crows must work together to save Nina and take down their enemies once and for all.
